Sport is a significant part of Australian culture and life. Each weekend, millions of people around the country take part in healthy competition on playing fields and courts, or watch professionals battle it out on their TV screens. Sport has become a place where people find meaning and inspiration in how they live, and where conversations about broader social issues can play out on the field and in the media. So how can we bring together sports and faith in the RE classroom? How can faith help us discern how to be better sports? How can we encourage students to explore issues related to morality and social justice more deeply through the lens of sport? Join us for an engaging conversation exploring these and other issues in our first professional learning session for this year.
