CathEvents – Event Submission Policy

At CathEvents, our mission is to promote events that support and reflect the values of the Catholic community. This Event Submission Policy outlines the guidelines and process for submitting events to be listed on our website. By submitting an event, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Purpose of Event Listings

CathEvents aims to share information about Catholic events that foster faith, community, education, and service. Events should align with Catholic values and be open to members of the community where appropriate.

To be considered for publication, all submitted events must:

• Be suitable for a general audience, including families.
• Include accurate and complete details (e.g., date, time, location, organiser, and contact information).
• Be submitted in a timely manner, ideally at least four weeks before the event date to allow for review and promotion.
• Not promote content or activities that are contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

3. Review and Approval Process

All events submitted to CathEvents are subject to a review processprior to being published to ensure they meet our guidelines. During the review, we may:

• Contact the organiser for clarification or additional information.
• Edit submissions for grammar, clarity, or formatting while preserving the event’s intent.

4. Discretionary Rights

• Listing of events is solely at the discretion of CathEvents.
• We reserve the right to accept, decline, or remove any event submission without explanation.
• Priority may be given to events that have broader appeal or significance within the Catholic community.

5. Prohibited Content

We will not publish events that:

• Contradict Catholic beliefs or moral teachings.
• Involve illegal activities or promote violence, discrimination, or hate speech.
• Are purely commercial without a clear connection to Catholic mission or community service.

6. Event Modifications and Cancellations

Organisers are responsible for informing us of any changes or cancellations to their listed events. We will do our best to update or remove events promptly when notified.

7. Disclaimer

While CathEvents reviews each submission, we do not take responsibility for the accuracy of event details or the conduct of organisers. Attendance and participation are at the discretion of individuals.
