The second annual lecture of the Biographical Dictionary of Australian Catholic Educators (BDACE) will be delivered by Dr Maurice Ryan, Lecturer, Author and Publisher at the ACU Gaudete Centre in Brisbane (1100 Nudgee Road Banyo 4014). Dr Ryan’s latest book, Cover Stories, Lay Teachers in Australian Colonial Catholic Schools was published in 2025. The BDACE brings into the contemporary world a collection of biographies and video-interviews of clerical, religious, and lay women and men  who often against the odds established, maintained and developed Catholic schools that nourished the lives of countless Australians.
