St Mary of the Cross MacKillop — Feast Day Celebrations 2026
Catholics from Sydney and beyond are invited to celebrate the feast of Australia’s first saint at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney — where she lived, died and was buried.
Date: Saturday 8 August 2026
Masses: 8:00 am | 10:00 am (livestreamed) | 1:00 pm | 6:00 pm
Also:
- Pray at St Mary MacKillop’s tomb
- Visit the Memorial Chapel
- Free entry to Mary MacKillop Museum — marking the 160th anniversary of the founding of the Sisters of Saint Joseph
- Holy Hour for young adults (18–35) at 4:30 pm before evening Mass
- “Wonder and Reflection” zone — creative activities for children and families
Venue: Mary MacKillop Place, 80 William St, North Sydney NSW
Cost: Free
A nine-day online pilgrimage novena will be hosted in the lead-up to the feast.
