This 2 hour interactive training program has been designed for Boards and Trustees to understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
The program is designed to support boards and trustees to:
- Understand the importance of safeguarding for your organisation, particularly in relation to the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards
- Identify the roles and responsibilities in safeguarding based on legal and canonical requirements
- Encourage a respectful and accountable safeguarding culture
- Identify red flag issues of concern at the strategic and leadership level
- Strengthen organisational policies and create risk management frameworks registers as part of a safeguarding system
Learners will receive a copy of the slides and a resource handbook after the session. Numbers are restricted to ensure effective group discussions and interaction.
When
4pm to 6pm AEST – offered separately on each of the following dates:
17 February, 21 April, 23 June, 18 August, 20 October or 17 November
Cost $195
*ACSL Subscriber discount applies – 25% discount.
To obtain the discount, please ensure your learner profile contains your organisation name.
Groups
This program can be offered on different dates to organisations wishing to complete the training, or tailored to suit your Board, dependent on learner numbers. If you have an interested group within your organisation, please contact learning@acsltd.org.au for more information.
