A professional development program supporting Catholic leaders to strengthen leadership, culture and accountability.
Grow your safeguarding skills while meeting your statutory and NCSS requirements.
The hybrid format involves:
Phase 1 – A half-day Introductory session (either online, or, based on numbers, face-to-face) – 3 hours, from 10.30am to 1.30pm Melbourne time on the scheduled date.
Explores themes of safeguarding culture and compliance and tools for supporting your safeguarding decisions as leaders.
Phase 2 (6 weeks)
Online modules to be completed through our LMS
(There is an optional pre-test for these modules if you are interested in Recognition of Prior Learning. *Other than the Safeguarding in a Digital World module.)
Reflective Practice
During Phase 2, learners are encouraged to participate in a weekly online asynchronous reflection forum, where we post a reflection question and learners within this cohort can respond and discuss their responses. This provides both a reflective practice and an interaction and builds the learning community.
Phase 3
A reflection and summation session – online, timed to be approximately 6 weeks after Phase 1. Duration 1.5 hours, from 2pm to 3.30pm Melbourne time on the scheduled date.
The program includes access to a training manual and reference materials. The program has been designed for leadership teams and focuses on cultural change, safeguarding policies, and procedures at the leadership level.
To ensure the integrity of the program, numbers within each cohort are limited.
