MARY – Fully Human, Ever Faithful
An exploration of Mary, Mother of Jesus, through a Lukan lens
Presenter: Dr Debra Snoddy
Format: Online
“Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.” Luke 2:19
Mary is far more than a familiar figure in the Christmas story. In Luke’s Gospel, she is the first disciple, a courageous woman of faith, a prophet who proclaims God’s justice, and a model of attentive listening and faithful action. This engaging session explores Luke’s rich portrait of Mary through key biblical texts, uncovering what they reveal about discipleship, hope, and God’s vision for the world. Ideal for teachers seeking to deepen their biblical literacy and enrich their classroom practice, this presentation offers fresh insights into one of the New Testament’s most influential figures and why Mary’s story continues to inspire Christian life and education today. |
