This session will explore Catholic liturgy as the public prayer of the Body of Christ, with a focus on how word, ritual, symbol and music work together to form meaningful, communal worship in school settings. The session will examine the structure and purpose of liturgy, the importance of active participation, and the distinction between liturgy and other forms of school prayer.
Teachers will also consider the role of sacred music in supporting prayer, shaping assembly participation, and reflecting the Church’s seasons and theology. Practical implications for planning school liturgies will be explored, with a focus on faithfulness to Church tradition and accessibility for students.
