Our next presentation, Labyrinth Reflection Day – Sin and Redemption will begin in the Mary Elliott Room by Brother Barry Donaghue (Christian Brother).
Do we have to talk about sin? Well, we certainly think about it, wondering if we have damned ourselves yet, or are just on the way down some slippery slope. But, is sin just personal or is it mainly something else? Does God have any use for our sin? Even in the early Hebrew prophets there is an understanding of heaven and hell much more illuminating than we have generally been taught, and the Greek terms for sin in the Gospels are also reveal much.
During this day we will look at all these things and then pick up on both what forgiveness really means, how guilt has limited use and how our sin can be used for redemption. Jesus’ treatment of Peter after his betrayal provides some real clues.
The labyrinth will be available to walk as we reflect on how all this can make a real difference in our lives.
