Join the GPBS Professional Learning Tour to the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress in Anaheim — the final RECongress to be held at the Anaheim Convention Centre. Held in Anaheim, California, from 22 to 25 April 2027, this will be a particularly significant Congress: after more than 50 years in Anaheim, 2027 is the last time RECongress will be held there before the Congress moves to Long Beach, California in 2028. For Catholic educators, it makes this an exciting year to be part of the RECongress story.

Over the last 10 years the GPBS tour has developed a number of added features and experiences that have made it a signature professional learning experience for many Catholic educators. It is much more than attending the Congress — it is an opportunity to learn, connect, explore, be inspired and share the experience with others who are passionate about Catholic education and religious education. The April 2027 timing also makes it particularly appealing for schools, with dates that sit comfortably within the school year while still creating space for professional and personal renewal.

The tour is fully escorted and travels with a tour leader throughout. It opens with two nights in Hollywood, based at the Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles/Hollywood, before moving to Anaheim for five nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center — within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Centre, so you can step between Congress sessions and your room across the week. Seven nights’ accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis, three lunches, a welcome dinner and a farewell dinner are included, along with the Six Taste Food Tour, Congress registration, school visits, Homeboy Industries, the new Christ Cathedral and Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral, and Hollywood and surrounding touring.
