Come away to a quiet place and rest awhile. Mark 6.30
This retreat day is a time to come and rest in the Spirit. You will receive different ways of meditating or praying in the Christian and Ignatian Spirituality traditions.
You will experience silence and stillness and learn to tap into your imagination to journey with Jesus in the Gospels.
The day will focus on practical meditation experiences, with short, easy to follow explanations.
Come as you are. All are welcome. No spiritual, meditation/prayer or religious experience is necessary.
This icon is of St Ignatius of Loyola, the 16thC founder of the Jesuits, by artist Franciscan friar, Robert Lenz OFM. It signifies two vital aspects of contemplative prayer – silence, so as to hear the “still, small voice of God”; and entering into one’s heart where we find the Spirit of Christ waiting to commune with us.
