Why is storytelling so powerful, and how can it be done well? How do we
foster deep listening across ministries, cultures, and generations? What does it mean to re-story, and how does it shape identity and mission? How can storytelling and oral tradition guide the way we design formation for Mission?
In 2025, the Jubilee Year of Hope and the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, we celebrate the theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.” It honours past achievements while looking ahead to a future shaped by strong young leaders, visionary communities, and the enduring legacy of First Nations ancestors. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
peoples hold a deep well of wisdom through storytelling, songlines,
truth-telling, and oral tradition. Leading formation for Mission calls us to listen deeply and with humility to Elders and community leaders who carry this wisdom.
Be part of this powerful 1-hour event with inspiring panellists, a lively Q&A, and the pre-launch of ACU’s groundbreaking book Reflections on
Hope. Be among the first to pre-order this must-read collection of stories on hope, resilience and truth-telling.
We look forward to seeing you there!
