Our Conference this year will be from
Monday 1st September to Thursday 4th September
Hilton Adelaide, 233 Victoria Square, Adelaide, SA
If you want to spend a little extra time before or after the Conference, Adelaide itself and the surrounding regions – Barossa, Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Fleurieu Peninsula, and others further afield – have lots to offer. Further details for your visit to Adelaide will be included with the registration and conference programme.
Check-in at the hotel should be available on Monday 1 September, from 2pm. The official opening of the conference will be around 3.30pm. These times and the times of sessions, breaks, and meals, etc. will be set out in the conference programme.
This year, our presentations will be on some of the contemporary issues the Church is facing today and the place and role of canon law in addressing them. The workshops will focus mostly on grounds of marriage nullity and the pastoral ministry of the tribunal.
This year, for those who wish to participate, we are offering a special extended session, 9am-12noon, on Thursday, 4th September. This session will focus on the penal law and on practical aspects of penal processes. The session will be of interest to all members and guests attending the conference. It will be of particular interest to judges, canonical advocates, and promoters of justice, as well as diocesan leaders, religious leaders, and personnel who work in the area of penal law.
