At the heart of the Archdiocesan Centre for Catholic Formation’s offerings are four core modules entitled Catholic Foundations. These are designed to draw Catholics into the fullness of the Catholic life and provide formation for those considering ministry roles. The experience will engage both the head and the heart so participants grow in knowledge and the lived experience of Catholic faith. This module includes 9 sessions supported with opportunities for individual reflection and an optional certificate awarded at completion.
Each module of our Catholic Foundations course is open to all, and you do not need to have completed other modules in order to register for Module 3.
Module 3 engages participants in the concepts of sacramentality, the sacraments and their context in liturgy in the Catholic tradition. The course explores the nature of God’s presence in the sacraments, the nature of grace, how grace is received and experienced in and beyond the sacraments of the Church.

* We endeavour to make our Catholic Foundations modules as accessible as possible so that all Catholics in the Archdiocese of Brisbane — and beyond — have the opportunity to participate, regardless of geographical location. Parish, communities, deaneries or groups may be eligible to host a regional hub if:
a) they are located at least 30 minutes away from the main course venue and
b) there are a minimum of 5 participants.
Alternatively, there may be an established hub close to you that you can join. Please contact our team at accf@bne.catholic.net.au to discuss regional hub options.
