The Australian Social Cohesion Summit 2026, hosted by the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute, returns following a successful inaugural event that brought together almost 400 leaders, researchers, policymakers and community representatives from across Australia.
With more than 500 delegates anticipated, this year’s summit explores the theme “Understanding Australia’s Social Fabric: Diversity, Connections, and the Future of Social Cohesion” — engaging with the latest research, emerging trends and practical solutions to strengthen trust, belonging and connection in an increasingly complex world.
The program features leading national and international speakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive workshops, fishbowl sessions, networking opportunities and the launch of the Mapping Social Cohesion Report 2026, Australia’s longest-running study of social cohesion.
