We’re pleased to introduce tonight’s subject: Pope Leo’s important new apostolic exhortation, a document already prompting rich reflection across the Church. Guiding us through its themes is someone uniquely placed to do so — Fr Bruce Duncan CSsR.

Bruce is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading voices in Catholic social teaching. Over many years he has shaped thinking in this field through his teaching at Yarra Theological Union and his ongoing work within the Redemptorist community.

 Though now in a so-called “retirement phase”, he remains deeply engaged in scholarship and pastoral life, and we’re grateful he has made time to share his insights with us this evening.
