Being an adult can feel like a full-time job on its own — work, relationships, rent, the news, everything at once. Spirituality can end up somewhere near the bottom of the list, if it makes the list at all. 

Sundown Sessions is a twilight series on spirituality in the busyness of ‘adulting’ — real conversation, real input, and space to reconnect life and faith, without needing to have it all figured out.

Your facilitator: 

Donnie Velasco is a family man, married to Mei and proud parent to their son, Jonathan. He finds joy in sharing story, being invited into the sacredness of another’s experience, and engaging in the conversational reality of life. With a background in business administration and psychology, Donnie spent 12 years working in mission, evangelisation and ministry with the Diocese of Parramatta through adult faith formation, completing a graduate certificate in secondary religious education and a Master of Theological Studies along the way. Since early 2026 he has worked with Caritas Australia as an animator and diocesan director. His specialty areas include mission, spirituality, biblical hermeneutics, evangelisation, ministry skilling, and youth and young adult engagement.
