In our first conversation of the year, we will focus on Peace from a Christian perspective. Justice Francois Kunc will speak about the papal encyclical “Pacem in Terris” and Dr Catherine Playoust will discuss some aspects of Peace in the Bible.
Justice François Kunc is a judge of the Supreme Court. Since 2016 he has been the General Editor of The Australian Law Journal. He is a linguist, musician, liturgist and a philanthropist. He has recently retired as Chair of the Liturgical Commission of the Sydney Archdiocese.
Dr Catherine Playoust is the Deputy Master of Catholic Theological College Melbourne and a member of its Department of Biblical Studies. She served on the Australian Roman Catholic and Anglican Dialogue in 2010-2018 and the Australian Catholic Council for Christian Unity and Religious Relations with Jews in 2018–2025.
