About the speaker
Acclaimed author and Georgetown University professor Leo Lefebure will guide this evening of thought and reflection. Drawing on his global experience in interreligious dialogue, Professor Lefebure will examine how religious and interreligious leaders can collaborate with political and cultural figures to foster a more constructive, compassionate and connected world.
His lecture will explore five key areas for encounter and transformation:
- Aesthetics – The unifying power of beauty
- Academic Sharing – Knowledge across traditions
- Spiritual Encounter – Meeting in the sacred
- Concern for the World – Common action for justice and peace
- Friendship – The foundation of lasting dialogue
While aimed at a multi-faith audience, this talk is especially relevant for Catholics seeking to engage more deeply with the world in a spirit of humility, openness, and Gospel-inspired dialogue.
This event is proudly brought to you by Rev Dr Patrick McInerney, Director of the Columban Centre for Christian-Muslim Relations, which continues to foster understanding, respect, and cooperation between people of different religious traditions.
