An introduction to meditating in the Christian tradition with an emphasis on the ancient scriptural call to ‘love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength’ (Deut 6:5, Mk 12:30, Matt 22:37 and Lk 10:27

The Formation & Mission Team of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion, Australia invite you to this online seminar featuring Lisa Hughes.

Lisa has been working in the Catholic Education sector across the dioceses of Australia for the past thirty years. Her roles at Catholic Education Melbourne and Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools over the last decade have involved collaborating with senior leaders on Catholic identity, religious leadership, wellbeing, policy, and learning and teaching. Her areas of expertise and focus include meditation, identity, gender, and sexuality within a faith formation context.

Participants engage with and break open the Christian contemplative approach to prayer.

Participants will explore the importance of the call to love God wholeheartedly and strengthen their understanding and connection to our Sacred texts.

Participants will experience Christian contemplative prayer as practised in the Catholic/Christian tradition.
