How much of our everyday life is spent performing?
The roles we take on. The expectations we carry. The version of ourselves we present to others. Sometimes, beneath all of this, there is a deeper and more authentic self waiting to be noticed.
On Saturday 24 October, Heart of Life invites you to explore the space between performance and presence through Beyond the Mask: A Journey from Performance to Presence.
Facilitated by Apryl Huglin, this reflective day offers an opportunity to gently explore the false self โ the constructed self we present to the world โ and the true self that exists beneath our masks.
Through contemplative practices, guided meditation, gentle inquiry and mindful reflection, participants will be invited to consider:
๐ฟ What masks do we wear, and why?
๐ฟ Where might we be performing rather than truly being?
๐ฟ What does it mean to live from a more authentic place?
๐ฟ How might we move from performance towards greater presence?
This is not about judging or removing every mask we carry. Rather, it is an invitation to become more aware, compassionate and curious about the ways we navigate the world โ and to create space for a deeper sense of who we are.
Perhaps it is time to pause and ask:
Who am I when I no longer need to perform?
