Our next presentation, Being Pentecost People will begin in the Mary Elliott Room by Brother Barry Donaghue (Christian Brother).
The feast of Pentecost, when the Church began, is coming up and the present-day Church needs us to be Pentecost people if it is to grow in the way that Jesus intended. So, what does it mean to be a Pentecost person? Do we let this day just sail past, with perhaps a tiny bit of wonderment at the pyrotechnics, or do we find out what the disciples came to understand on that fateful morning, as they realised that Jesus as the Christ would no more be walking among them. This meant that they would now have to be him as he asked at the Last Supper.
We really need to work on this, and the upcoming session will enable us to do just that.
