DESCRIPTION:Pilgrimages along the Australian Ignatian Trail in the footsteps of the first Jesuits in Australia\n\n\n4 walking days – 6 nights: Tuesday 14 April late afternoon – Monday 20 April morning 2026\n\n\nAPPLICATIONS CLOSE: 14 MARCH 2026 \nThis ‘camino’ experience provides an opportunity for encountering Ignatian Spirituality\, discerning\, and listening to God’s presence in Nature. Step aside from everyday life\, walk\, reflect\, experience nature day after day\, time in silence\, conversation and listening to God’s presence. \nAs a small group of pilgrims\, you will walk part of the route in South Australia taken by the first Jesuits who arrived in 1848. This Australian Ignatian Trail pilgrimages journey through townships such as Kapunda\, Tarlee\, Riverton\, Auburn\, and finish at Sevenhill where the Jesuits established the first vineyard of Clare Valley in 1851. \nA moderate level of walking fitness and overall good health is essential. Each day the walking includes undulating terrain on quiet\, dirt roads and established trails of between 15km and 22km each day for four days for the short pilgrimage. \nThe group will be supported by two Australian Ignatian Trail leaders from JISA’s Being with God in Nature ministry. \n\nWhen: 4 walking days – 6 nights: Tuesday 14 April late afternoon – Monday 20 April morning 2026\nAPPLICATIONS CLOSE 14 MARCH 2026\nPrice: 4 walking days / 6 nights – $2195\nIncludes: prayer facilitation\, reflection materials\, take-home resources and accommodation. For the 6-night AIT\, 3 breakfasts (at Auburn and Sevenhill)\, 1 lunch and 2 dinners (at Sevenhill); are included. All other meals and beverages are to be purchased for the duration of The Australian Ignatian Trail at your own expense. \nYou will need to cover: your transport costs to and from the starting and finishing point of The Australian Ignatian Trail\, any excess baggage\, items of personal nature such as laundry\, beverages\, meals other than included in your itinerary\, travel insurance\, personal expenses\, medical fees\, phone calls and costs resulting from absence or deviation from the itinerary\, and any items not shown in the Terms and Conditions as being included. \nBe sure to book early as we take small groups and places go quickly. \nAfter you have submitted your application\, you will then be contacted by one of the Australian Ignatian Trail team to discuss it. If successful\, you will be invited to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
