The Way is a title Luke gives to the earliest followers of Jesus (Acts 9:2) and the name by which the famous pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is known. The Way is also a
paradigm for our everyday life. The Way can be transformational no matter where we walk it. The Way can open each of us to an encounter with Jesus and a more profound sense of our own identity. We’ll explore Luke’s story of the Road to Emmaus (Lk 24:13-35) and the Camino de Santiago to discern what it means to walk a pilgrim’s path.
Who is it for?
This reflection day is for pilgrims, those interested in pilgrimage and those who want to know Jesus and themselves more deeply.
What participants can expect of the day.
Throughout the day, we will use silence, prayer, lectio divina, visio divina, and spiritual conversation. If the weather permits, we will also take a short walk in the nearby gardens.
What Will You Gain?
An opportunity to pause and reflect on the scriptures of your life and those written by Luke to come to know each of them more deeply.
What to bring.
Dress comfortably and bring something to write with and in.
